摘要: Complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) has gained increasing popularity, particularly among individuals with fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS) for which traditional generally been ineffective. A systematic review of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) non-RCTs on CAM studies FMS was conducted to evaluate the empirical evidence their effectiveness. Few RCTs achieved high scores CONSORT, a standardized evaluation quality methodology reporting. Acupuncture, some herbal nutritional supplements (magnesium, SAMe) massage therapy have best effectiveness FMS. Other therapies either evaluated in only one RCT positive results (Chlorella, biofeedback, relaxation), multiple mixed (magnet therapies), or from methodological flaws (homeopathy, botanical oils, balneotherapy, anthocyanidins, dietary modifications). Lastly, other neither well-designed nor are not currently recommended treatment (chiropractic care).
