摘要: 1,000 consecutive patients operated for retinal detachment were studied prospectively to determine the incidence of complications. Two parts operation responsible most vision-threatening complications: subretinal fluid drainage and scleral buckle. In an attempt reduce complications surgery, we have utilized a simplified procedure transconjunctival cryotherapy intravitreal gas injection with postoperative positioning. This study was limited detachments one or more breaks within clock hour located superior eight hours fundus without signs proliferative vitreoretinopathy. series 20 patients, reattachment initially achieved in all cases. There two recurrences that reattached buckling. The final cure rate single pneumatic procedure, six months follow-up, 90%. No major observed. preliminary report suggests retinopexy has advantages reduced tissue trauma, no hospitalization, minimal complications, expense. disadvantage is need positioning five days.
