摘要: Total hip replacement is considered the best option for treatment of displaced intracapsular fractures femoral neck (FFN). The size head an important factor that influences outcome a total arthroplasty (THA): implants with 28 mm are more prone to dislocate than 32 head. Obviously, large coupled polyethylene inlay can lead wear, osteolysis and failure implant. Ceramic induces less friction minimal wear even larger heads. A 35 THAs were performed FFN, using alumina-alumina coupling. At mean follow-up 80 months, 33 have been clinically radiologically reviewed. None needed revision any reason, none cups failed, no dislocations nor breakage ceramic components recorded. One anatomic cementless stem was loose.
