摘要: Carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) composites are used in aerospace applications because of their superior mechanical properties and light weight. Avoiding damage the machining CFRP is difficult using traditional methods. Abrasive water jet (AWJ) has recently become one preferred methods for composites. This study evaluated AWJ machinability having three different fiber orientation angles (M1: [0°/90°]s, M2: [+ 45°/− 45°]s, M3: [0°/45°/90°/− 45°]s) according to delamination factor (Df), average surface roughness (Ra) as quality characteristics drilled holes. The aim was investigate effects levels drilling parameters on determine optimum parameter that provide minimum formation values. For this purpose, experiments were carried out Taguchi L16 (44) orthogonal array. Water pressure (WP), stand-off distance (L), traverse feed rate (F), hole diameter (D) chosen process parameters. Analysis variance percentage microscopic machined surfaces revealed a scanning electron microscope an optical microscope, respectively. most effective Df Ra M1, M2 M3 materials determined be pressure, distance. Minimum values obtained when composite with angle [0°/45°/90°/− 45°]s. very good can planning angles.
