Opening up to Big Data: Computer-Assisted Analysis of Textual Data in Social Sciences

摘要: Two developments in computational text analysis may change the way qualitative data social sciences is performed: 1. availability of digital worth to investigate growing rapidly, and 2. improvement algorithmic information extraction approaches, also called mining, allows for further bridging gap between quantitative analysis. The key factor hereby inclusion context into linguistic models which extends conventional content towards meaning. To clarify methodological differences various computer-assisted approaches article suggests a typology from perspective researcher.
