摘要: Neuropathic pain is characterized by both sensory and affective disturbances, supporting the notion that mood disorders share common pathogenetic mechanisms. Moreover, biological neuroimaging data show brain areas are involved in modulation of painful emotional experiences. Improved understanding molecular mechanisms underlying role neuroinflammation regulation behavior neuropathic states important for development novel therapeutic strategies. Psychological issues must be considered a factor influencing treatment outcome patients with pain. Funding: Pfizer, Italy.
