摘要: The cortex processes stimuli through a distributed network of specialized brain areas. This processing requires mechanisms that can route neuronal activity across weakly connected cortical regions. Routing models proposed thus far are either limited to propagation spiking strongly networks or require distinct create local oscillations and establish their coherence between distant Here, we propose novel mechanism which explains how synchronous propagates areas supported by oscillations. In our model, oscillatory unleashes resonance amplifies feeble signals promotes along weak connections (“communication resonance”). emergence coherent is natural consequence therefore the assumption different provide not necessary. Moreover, phase-locking side effect communication rather than its requirement. Finally, show state ongoing could affect modulations influence information in networks.
