摘要: Plastid trnT–F and atpB–rbcL spacer sequences as well AFLP fingerprints are utilised to infer phylogenetic relationships of Dendroligotrichum Polytrichadelphus taxa (Polytrichaceae) in the palaeoaustral region. Phylogenies based on DNA sequence data support monophyly each genus. Relationships within remain ambiguous owing low divergence. fingerprinting, however, allows a clear distinction all included at species level. The morphological, distributional, ecological molecular differences justify recognition following three Dendroligotrichum: D. dendroides (Brid. ex Hedw.) Broth. squamosum (Hook.f. & Wilson) Cardot southern South America, microdendron (Mull. Hal.) G.L.Sm. New Zealand; two Polytrichadelphus: P. magellanicus (Hedw.) Mitt. s.str. America innovans A.Jager Australia Zealand. For Polytrichadelphus, topologies correspond with vicariance scenario, basic split region followed by migration American northwards into Neotropics. In Dendroligotrichum, substitutions indels trnL intron supporting either between microdendron, similar one or trans-oceanic dispersal event Zealand America.
