Far-infrared spectroscopy of the supreconductor YBa2Cu4O8

摘要: The frequencies of allB1u(z) phonon modes predicted by a group-theoretical analysis were measured and found to agree well with recent lattice dynamical calculations for this compound. We report also the determination two superconducting gap values in YBa2Cu4O8 through self-energy effects normal conducting state. gap-to-T c ratios obtained from an these are 2Δ1/kT ≦2.5 5.8≦2Δ2/kT ≦9.2. This coincides previous results both phononic electronic Raman scattering where 2.1 6.3 found. further find anomalous softenings ∼40 Kabove T , which correlate observed deviation linear temperature dependence average plasma frequency ν p (T).
