摘要: Abstract Low cycle fatigue tests on cast cobalt superalloy MAR-M 509 were conducted at various temperatures from 20 to 1100 °C in laboratory air using sawtooth cycling under plastic strain control a constant total rate. Below about 650°C the life was found be independent of temperature for given amplitude, whereas above reduced drastically. The microstructure, initiation and propagation cracks studied optical electron microscopy. change behaviour with increasing is associated crack mechanisms crystallographic MC carbide cracking low along preferentially oxidized carbides high temperatures. influence discussed.
