摘要: Abstract Luminescence, ground-state and excited-state absorption lifetime measurements on Ni2+-doped MgAl2O4 were performed. Excited-state bands at 1700 nm in the near infrared 750 580 visible region due to transitions from 3T2 (3F) metastable state 3T1(3F), 1T2(1D), 3T1(3P) states observed ESA cross sections determined. The 3T2-3T1(3F) band overlaps with emission prevents lasing of Ni2+ : room temperature.
