摘要: The adsorption of dodecyl mercaptan (DM) monolayers onto plasma preoxidized gold was studied. degree preoxidation determined quantitatively using electrochemical stripping analysis. It is shown that (i) alkanethiols form oriented on oxide surfaces. (ii) contact angles and ellipsometric parameters DM vary systematically with the evaporated substrate. (iii) monolayer effectively isolates from its surrounding, thus preventing chemical reduction inherently unstable oxide. existence a layer encapsulated under organic verified by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) combined electrochemical-depth profiling measurements
