摘要: An insulated conductor and the flame retardant insulation composition used in plenum cables. The includes as a polyolefin blend from about 50 to 85 parts by weight of polypropylene, 10 40 very low density polyethylene 5 20 high and/or polyethylene. To one hundred there is 6 chlorinated retardant, 4 12 intumescent, 60 non-halogen 0.2 1.0 hindered phenolic stabilizer; 0.1 0.4 additional stabilizers. One retardants composition, may be zinc borate which triggers polymer decomposition when exposed an igniting flame. Alternatives include stearate, magnesium ammonium octamolybdate (AOM), or stannate.
