摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter explores the present status of memory self-efficacy (MSE) research in social cognitive context and suggests new directions. MSE refers to a dynamic, self-evaluative system beliefs judgments regarding one's competence confidence. has evolved since mid-1980s its identity aging adult developmental literature. Self-efficacy theory methods provide rich theoretical network testable, falsifiable hypotheses. Some hypotheses have received strong empirical support, such as those applied achievement domains, including mathematics, writing. Research on mediational effects supports reciprocal nature goal setting/attainment, although not equivocally. The strengths yield mainstream guided efforts. presents from lab that been conducted orienting framework methodology. To realize full potential an important constructs, researchers need move beyond their emphases measurement modeling.
