摘要: Sleep disorders are common in the general population, and a complaint of excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS) is one primary symptoms these disorders. EDS symptom but still it often insufficiently recognized. In our modern society, consequences may be important as they lead to an alteration quality life, impairment work performance, also increase risk accidents at or while driving. Chronic hypersomnia defined by constant EDS, which occurs every day for least 3 months. Hypersomnia syndromes affect 5–15% individuals, with higher prevalence among men relation sleep apnea syndromes. Although poor nocturnal could suspected etiology hypersomnia, frequently cardinal many reported revised International Classification Disorders (ICSD-2) such narcolepsy, idiopathic recurrent medication- toxic-dependent sleepiness, associated psychiatric Considerable progress has been made identification different types last few years; however, tendency over diagnose sleep-related breathing patients persists. Physicians dispose several methods (interview, questionnaires, diary, polysomnography, multiple latency test, maintenance wakefulness continuous cerebrospinal fluid hypocretin-1 levels, human leukocyte antigen typing) affirm existence somnolence differentiate between causes most them The steps evaluation reviewed this article, other features that point particular diagnosis emphasized.
