摘要: Haptics can be defined as the characterization and identification of objects by voluntary exploration somatosensory feedback. It requires multimodal sensing, motor dexterity, high levels cognitive integration with prior experience fundamental concepts self versus external world. Humans have unique haptic capabilities that enable tool use. Experimental animals much poorer are difficult to train even more study because they involve rapid, subtle, variable movements. Robots now constructed biomimetic sensing so may provide a suitable platform on which test theories haptics. will need embody such if ever going realize long-standing dream working alongside humans using same tools objects.
