摘要: Today's utility planners have a different market and economic context than their predecessors, including planning for the growth of renewable energy. State federal support policies, solar photovoltaic (PV) price declines, introduction new business models PV 'ownership' are leading to increasing interest in technologies (especially PV); however, introduces myriad variables into resource decision. Most, but not all, less experience analyzing conventional generation as part capacity planning, portfolio evaluation, procurement decisions. To begin build this knowledge, staff expressed one effort: exchanges regarding data, methods, challenges, solutions incorporating process. Through interviews questionnaire, report aims exchange information capture utility-provided about: 1) how various utilities approach long-range planning; 2) methods tools use conduct and, 3) considered
