摘要: Compositional lipid microdomains ("lipid rafts") in plasma membranes are believed to be important components of many cellular processes. The biophysical mechanisms by which cells regulate the size, lifetime, and spatial localization these domains rather poorly understood at moment. Over years, experimental studies raft formation have inspired several phenomenological theories speculations incorporating a wide variety thermodynamic assumptions regarding lipid-lipid lipid-protein interactions, potential role active processes on membrane structure. Here we critically review discuss theories, models, speculations, present our view future directions.
