摘要: The present domestic energy situation in Nigeria has made many families to go back the use of fuel wood/charcoal owing high prices or scarcity kerosene and other alternative cooking fuels. Therefore, this study analysed economic determinants quantity demanded supplied, cost returns advantages wood utilization by consumers substitutes Bosso Local Government Area Niger State, Nigeria. Data were collected from 50 randomly selected (charcoal firewood) producers Beji Garatu communities 60 Maikunkele, Bosso/Maitumbi, Dutsenkura/Kpakungu communities. Analysis data was done with descriptive statistics, multiple regression analysis, return analysis. Result shows that 72.2% variation area explained identified determinants, 94.6% supplied. average realized charcoal per produced bags /month is N 7800.The firewood Dyna truck/month 6600. pickup 1600. A more comprehensive increased education enlightenment campaign against deforestation as well provision employment for teeming youth cheap, eco-friendly sources recommended.
