摘要: Abstract This article focuses on the impact of colonialism indigenous African military institutions by examining case Ugenya, a sub-group Luo western Kenya. It adds to body historical literature conquest Kenya, delving into changes that British introduced in Ugenya dismantle from 1890s 1914. Its main contention is when European colonial powers invaded Africa, they did not just use force and violence subjugate Africans, also policies whose sole aim was emasculate future capacity wage war against aggression: gradually neutralized reduced populations resist domination.
