摘要: Previous studies have shown that dietary calcium glucarate, an inhibitor of beta-glucuronidase, is a potent promotion diethylnitrosamine-induced altered hepatic foci, 7,12-dimethylbenzanthracene-induced mammary tumorigenesis and benzo(a)pyrene-induced lung carcinogenesis. The present study was undertaken to test the chemopreventative activity glucarate on azoxymethane-induced hepatocarcinogenesis in female Fischer 344 rats. A series experiments were carried out over 36 weeks evaluate effects initiation phases separately also combination with each other. gluconate group included used as negative control. Histopathologic evaluation H&E stained liver sections all animals this showed statistically significant inhibition only occurred when supplementation provided throughout combined phases. This inhibitory effect approximately equaled summation obtained fed during phase phase.
