摘要: Rationale: The demographic, physiological, and computed tomography (CT) features associated with pneumothorax in smokers without chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) are not clearly defined.Objectives: We evaluated the hypothesis that is male sex, tall thin stature, airflow obstruction, increased total subpleural emphysema.Methods: study included COPD from COPDGene Study, quantitative chest CT analysis. Pleural-based emphysema was assessed on basis of local histogram measures emphysema.
