摘要: We quantified the avoided deforestation impacts of environmental land registration in Brazil's Amazonian states Mato Grosso and Para between 2005 2014. find that program reduced on registered lands. The magnitude effect implies two would have been 10% higher absence program. varied over time, likely due to multiple policies linking use incentives. Our results also reveal agriculturally suitable lands those located regions undergoing most land-use change were more be than less suitable, dynamic regions. conclude is an important first step implement targeting private landholders.
