摘要: Abstract The addition of triisobutylphosphine sulphide (TIBPS) to 3,5-diisopropylsalicylic acid (DIPSA) causes a strong synergistic shift in the extraction cadmium (1.9 pH units for 0.50 M TIBPS DIPSA xylene). shifts are considerably smaller (up 0.6 units) other common divalent base metals; such as zinc, lead, manganese, iron, cobalt, nickel, calcium and magnesium, enabling selective be carried out most cases. influence on separation between zinc variables as: extractant concentrations, identity diluent, presence modifiers sulphate ion was studied. In batch counter-current experiments using synthetic solution containing (5 gl −1 ) nickel (24 sulphates plus xylene at an organic aqueous phase ratio 2:3 three stages, quantitative recoveries 99.8% pure > 99.99% were obtained. continuous mini-plant trial, leach liquor derived from cement cake electrolytic plant treated four two scrubbing stripping 0.40 Shellsol 2325. feed solution, up 16 9 well small amounts thallium impurities, processed through strip 110 with purity about 99.95% (Zn 0.01, Pb 0.02, Fe 0.01 Tl 0.005%).
