摘要: Background. Previous work has demonstrated that a commercial gaming electroencephalography (EEG) system, Emotiv EPOC, can be adjusted to provide valid auditory event-related potentials (ERPs) in adults are comparable ERPs recorded by research-grade EEG Neuroscan. The aim of the current study was determine if same true for children. Method. An adapted EPOC system and Neuroscan were used make simultaneous recordings nineteen 6- 12-year-old children under “passive” “active” listening conditions. In passive condition, instructed watch silent DVD ignore 566 standard (1,000 Hz) 100 deviant (1,200 tones. active they listened stimuli, asked count number ‘high’ (i.e., deviant) tones. Results. Intraclass correlations (ICCs) indicated ERP morphology with two systems very similar P1, N1, P2, N2, P3 peaks (r = .82 .95) both conditions, less so, though still strong, mismatch negativity component (MMN; r .67 .74). There few differences between peak amplitude latency estimates systems. Conclusions. index children’s late P3) their MMN component.
