摘要: With growing pressure on the construction industry to be more resource efficient, reduce waste and lower embodied carbon, material reuse strategies are critical meet targets, especially for steel. Indeed, steel recycling is an energy carbon intensive process, offering only approximately 50% savings [1] 75% [2, 3] over new production, while eliminates both. Unfortunately, there many barriers preventing happening at a large scale. 7% of heavy structural sections tubes currently reused compared 93% which recycled in UK. Using information collected during interviews with actors across supply chain UK, we could establish cost reuse. We found that slightly expensive than when considering all additional costs.
