摘要: Chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) is defined, according to the European Position Paper on Rhinosinusitis and Nasal Polyps , as “presence of two or more symptoms one which should be either nasal blockage/obstruction/congestion discharge (anterior/posterior drip) +/- facial pain/pressure reduction loss smell for >12 weeks”. Olfactory disorder thus appears diagnosis criteria CRS with without polyposis, underlining importance this specific symptom among patients CRS. Inversely, most common cause olfactory dysfunction in presenting evaluating centers account 14-30% cases. What underlines intimate connection between dysfunction. Several studies have shown that quality life severely impaired suffering from disorders. It important detect provide an optimal treatment patients. Nowadays, we medical surgical treatments may relieve but these results are still hazardous. Good management good support highly depend a knowledge entity. We will review issues about dysfunction, beginning generalities continue pathophysiology entity, assessment function patients, contribution imaging finally effects current function.
