摘要: Content The present study was designed to characterize bovine oocytes with different meiotic competence and atresia levels in terms of their mitochondrial status. Oocyte subpopulations were recovered either from medium (MF) or small (SF) follicles categorized as healthy, light-atretic mid-atretic according oocyte morphology. Mitochondrial activity, morphology distribution, adenosine triphosphate (ATP) content expression transcription factor A (TFAM) nuclear respiratory 1 (NRF1) assessed before (GV) after (MII) maturation. The data related follicular size regardless regard atresia. Regardless atresia, the MF subpopulation showed a significantly higher activity frequency granulated mitochondria at GV clustered MII than SF subpopulation. With decreased healthy both GV, but MII, oocytes. also produced more ATP ones subpopulations. However, relative abundance mRNA TFAM found this difference remained MII. It can be concluded that level influence status immature After maturation, developed other
