Breastfeeding in Hospitals: Factors Influencing Maternal Choice in Italy.

摘要: Monitoring the prevalence of breastfeeding is one actions provided for in Italian National Health System. This study aims to observe a representative set birthing hospitals province Catania, Sicily, Italy, assess factors influencing women their decisions breastfeed during hospitalization after delivery. We conducted an observational on 3813 questionnaires administered mothers newborns hospital stay from years 2016 2018 eight various types. The average maternal age was 31.3 ± 5.8. Sixty-nine percent did not attend prenatal course. From childbirth discharge, percentage who breastfed 88%, whom 45% exclusive breastfeeding. Only 35% had caesarean section adopted In our experience, rooming-in associated with increase observed that both attendance courses and mother's education level played minor role decision A fairly high breastfeeding, 75%, attained just hospital, where dedicated staff deployed encourage lowest (12%) large private accredited health facility. Hospital presence professionals trained human lactation smart investment society.
