摘要: Background— The inverse relationship between pulmonary function and incidence of cardiovascular disease remains largely unexplained. This prospective study explored the hypothesis a with inflammation-sensitive plasma proteins. Methods Results— Forced vital capacity (FVC) levels fibrinogen, α 1-antitrypsin, haptoglobin, ceruloplasmin, orosomucoid were determined in 5064 healthy men aged 28 to 61 years. All-cause mortality, myocardial infarction monitored over mean follow-up period 18.4 Low FVC (fourth quartile) was associated higher protein increased incidences death. Adjustments for reduced age-adjusted relative risks (RRs) (from 1.99, 95% CI 1.5 2.6, 1.70, 1.3 2.2) death 2.71, 1.9 3.9, 2.28, 1.6 3.3) among low FVC, corresponding...
