Animals selectively utilize their environments within a hierarchical framework. Our study addressed how the home ranges of sable antelope incorporated landscape and habitat types available to them. It was conducted in region northern Botswana where population expected be thriving, contrast threatened status wild South Africa. The movements use three neighbouring herds were recorded by global positioning system (GPS) telemetry during parts seasonal cycle adjoining seasonally flooded Okavango Delta. Total range extents covered these larger than those found for other areas, local densities, taking into account herd sizes, accordingly lower areas. Access surface water appeared main limitation on occupation. Almost all vegetation utilized, but generally favoured dryland grassland dry season floodplain wet season, contrary what we had expected. Hence, it that occupation could influenced more interactions with potential competitors predators intrinsic suitability.
