Human trafficking of minors and childhood adversity in Florida

摘要: Objectives. To examine the link between human trafficking of minors and childhood adversity.Methods. We compared prevalence adverse experiences (ACEs) cumulative adversity (ACE score) among a sample 913 juvenile justice–involved boys girls in Florida for whom child abuse hotline accepted reports 2009 2015 with those matched sample.Results. ACE composite scores were higher 6 ACEs indicative maltreatment more prevalent youths who had reports. Sexual was strongest predictor trafficking: odds 2.52 times greater experienced sexual abuse, there 8.21 risk histories abuse.Conclusions.
