摘要: Aim: To describe the parental view of cognitive skills their child with a surgically corrected congenital heart disease (CHD) and compare it to objectified measures in children CHD 6–12 years postoperatively. Methods: Parents completed questionnaire on several functions child. Children healthy controls (n = 86, aged 8 months ± 1 year 6 months) underwent an abbreviated IQ-testing neurodevelopmental assessment. Results: more frequently indicated lower sustained attention (p < 0.05), divided 0.001), problems memory learning deficient gross motor functioning 0.01) compared parents controls. Intellectual neuropsychological assessment revealed estimated full-scale IQ 0.01), worse sensorimotor performances language attention/executive 0.05) CHD-group. Several items were significant predictors for outcome. Conclusion: Overall, objective subjective are agreement indicate presence neurocognitive deficits CHD. This study endorses accuracy usefulness report urges investigation at follow-up.
