摘要: The review paper summarizes major developments in vehicular emissions regulations and technologies 2013. First, the covers key regulatory field, including proposed light-duty (LD) criteria pollutant tightening US; Europe, continuing towards real-world driving (RDE) standards. Significant shifts are occurring China India addressing their severe air quality problems. then gives a brief, high-level overview of fuels. Projections that we early stages oil supply stability, which could stabilize fuel prices. LD HD (heavy-duty) engine technology continues showing marked improvements efficiency. Key summarized for gasoline diesel engines to meet both emerging NOx GHG regulations. or will soon be demonstrating 50% brake thermal efficiency using common approaches. control summarized, SCR (selective catalytic reduction) systems filter developments. Emphasis is on low-temperature deNOx integration components control. Diesel PM (particulate matter) reduction evolving around behavior ash deposits integration. Filters direct injection applications developing very rapidly, some cases back pressure, light-off characteristics, reductions similar standard three way catalysts (TWCs). Oxidation mainly involve stubborn problems, like performance with exhaust high hydrocarbon CO, methane oxidation. Finally, discusses gaseous emission control, focusing matching calibration system characteristics; lean burn CITATION: Johnson, T., "Vehicular Emissions Review," SAE Int. J.
