摘要: Summary Functional neuroimaging studies show that perceptual judgments about time and space activate similar prefrontal parietal areas, it is known perceptions in these two cognitive domains interfere with each other. These findings have led to the theory temporal spatial perceptions, among other metrics, draw on a common representation of magnitude. Our results indicate an alternative principle applies prefrontal cortex. Analysis at single-cell level shows separate, domain-specific populations neurons encode relative magnitude space. are intermixed cortex, along separate population encodes goal chosen basis decisions. As result, neural processing seems underlie domain generality as observed regional level, prospective goals rather than
