摘要: Conjugal transfer of the F-like plasmid R100 occurs at higher frequencies in absence DNA adenine methylation. Lower levels R100-encoded FinP RNA were found a Dam host, suggesting that methylation regulates synthesis. Lack leucine-responsive regulatory protein (Lrp) causes decrease transfer, indicating Lrp is an activator R100-mediated conjugation. Hence, host-encoded regulators previously described for Salmonella virulence (pSLT) seem to play analogous roles R100. Repression conjugal rich medium additional trait shared by and pSLT. sequence comparisons loci support view pSLT are closely related.
