摘要: The ability of the antifriction materials to withstand with no lubrication for a while can be solution catastrophic failure automotive journal bearings from internal combustion engines in accidental breakdown oil pump. A thick layer material (babbit) was deposited by gravitational casting on steel disk substrate. Four tribological samples coated babbit are tested against shoe Amsler tribometer at different speeds and loads dry friction. values friction coefficient versus speed load presented, obtained results indicating mild wear regime, recommending new as possible coating bushes engines. Further tests must dedicated establishment intensity - pair, both motor lubricated conditions.
