摘要: Research was conducted for 2 yr on a Crowley silt loam soil (fine, smectitic, thermic Typic Albaqualfs) near Crowley, LA to evaluate the main effects of tillage, seeding and N rate potential interactions rice (Oryza sativa L.) density, yield, yield components. Two tillage systems (conventional fall-stale seedbed), four rates (162, 323, 484, 646 seed m -2 ) (101, 134, 168, 202 kg ha -1 were evaluated. 'Jupiter' 'Cheniere' medium long grain cultivar, respectively, evaluated in separate experiments. Conventional reduced plant density as compared with seedbed due crusting following flush irrigation during seedling emergence. A by interaction not observed, suggesting optimal are similar grown using conventional or seedbed. Rough optimized at 168 Jupiter Cheniere, respectively. Grain yields 323 , while Cheniere required more than . Panicle found be single most influential component able explain 49 51% variation Filled panicle inversely related highlighting ability tiller compensatory measure when less optimum densities exist. However, total compensation may feasible low rates.
