摘要: This thesis presents data on cardiovascular risk factors in a sample of military men aged over 35 years active duty the Brazilian Army (BA) from city Rio de Janeiro. It is composed 3 articles with purposes of: verifying influence physical activity, cardiorrespiratory fitness and anthropometric traits glycemic insulin rest levels; analyzing association adiponectin leptin levels coronary subjects metabolic syndrome (MS); between measures, plasma adiponectin. The measures were conducted 250 comprised (VO body fat percent (%BF) by hydrostatic weighing; anthropometry (body mass stature - used to estimate nutritional status via index waist circumference);. adiponectin, leptin, total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, fasting glycemia (used calculate HOMA-IR). The results indicated: 1) VO 2) inverse MS that 3) higher activity V&O2max lower values %BF associated levels. concluded maintenance adequate BMI high important for health.
