摘要: In dentomaxillofacial radiology, cone-beam computed tomography (CT) is used to give fast and high-resolution 3-dimensional images of bone with a low dose radiation. However, its use for quantitative measurement density based on absolute values (Hounsfield units, HU) as in multidetector CT still controversial. We know no vivo study merging software that will reliably match identical areas datasets. studied 19 multidetector, cone-beam, scans the skull. The two datasets were fused, corresponding points identified measurement, we compared mean density. linear regression analyse relation between different scanning methods, total 4180 measurements. time interval was 5.2 (4.7) months. Mean R(2) over all measurements 0.63 (range 0.22 - 0.79) internal consistency (Cronbach's α) 0.86 0.61 0.93). strongest linearity, seen at left mastoid, R(2)=0.79 high α 0.89), weakest zygomatic R(2)=0.22 Cronbach's α=0.61. Measurements generated showed reproducible but poor linearity.
