Polyester film primed with an aminofunctional silane, and film laminates thereof

摘要: Oriented polyester films primer coated with a hydrolyzed amino silane are disclosed. These silanes in the unhydrolyzed state have formula: XSi(R.sup.2).sub.a (R.sup.3).sub.b wherein X is radical selected from group consisting of H 2 NR 1 HNR --and --; R 's same or different C to 8 alkyl phenyl; hydrolyzeable alkoxy, an acetoxy halide; 3 nonreactive, nonhydrolyzeable (a) integer ranging 3; (b) 0 2, sum and being 3. The aminosilane applied film as aqueous solution at any suitable stage during manufacture film, i.e., before stretching operation, it may also be finished film. resultant primed found exhibit excellent adhesion other polymeric materials can readily laminated films. Adhesive qualities maintained even subfreezing temperatures.
