摘要: Orientations of dikes within the sheeted dike complex Troodos ophiolite reveal primary spreading structure produced at a ridge/transform intersection. Three structural grabens are defined by listric and planar normal faults rotated that dip symmetrically toward graben axes. Faults flatten depth into detachment upper parts plutonic complex. Large exhalative massive sulfide deposits occur pillow sections two appear to be associated with underlying altered mineralized fault zones channeled hydrothermal fluids. We suggest fossil axial valleys successive eastward jumps an approximately north-trending (present coordinates), slow-spreading ridge crest. A simple model for migration indicates 8–13 km; changes in orientation suggested trends Comparison pattern near Arakapas zone active intersections suggests is right-offset (sinistral) transform, contrast earlier models which west exposed was proposed.
