摘要: Lipid peroxidation results from the interaction of reactive oxygen species and polyunsaturated fatty acids. Metabolites generated oxidative stress play an important role in pathogenesis a variety diseases biologic processes. One such product lipid is 4-hydroxynonenal (HNE). HNE thiol exhibits numerous cellular effects. In this study, inhibition cysteine protease, interleukin-1β (IL-1β) converting enzyme (ICE), by human blood mononuclear cells was investigated. blocked release lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated IL-1β (EC50 5 μM) IL-10 2 dose-dependent manner and, to lesser extent, tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) 15 release. However, LPS-stimulated elevation intracellular proIL-1β levels not affected treatment. inhibited ICE activity lysed similar manner, measured hydrolysis fluorogenic substrate YVAD-AMC recombinant proIL-1β...
