摘要: The use of subcutaneous tunnelling to prevent movement epidural catheters was examined in a prospective controlled trial. There were 113 patients the standard group and 100 tunnelled group. groups similar with respect age, sex weight. 176 thoracic catheters, 37 lumbar catheters. Mean duration catheterization 3.5 +/- 1.3 days group, 3.1 1.5 days. In total, 60 moved significantly from their initial position: 17 (28%) inwards 43 (72%) outwards. 159 still functioning at time removal, 76 83 tunnelled. This represents 67 83% two respectively. Subcutaneous shown clinically significant (P = 0.043) outwards 0.0005) is more likely result functional blockade catheter removal 0.0084).
