摘要: The Netherlands is "well known" for its nitrogen problems; it has one of the highest reactive (Nr) emission densities in world. It a small country at delta several large European rivers. Ever since industrial revolution, there been growing excess nutrients and related emissions into atmosphere (ammonia, oxides nitrous oxide) groundwater surface water (nitrate), leading to range cascading environmental impacts. Vehicular traffic, sewage animal husbandry are main sources oxidized reduced forms Nr. This report provides an overview origin fate Netherlands, various reported impacts Dutch policies reduce In addition, ways presented go forward potentially solve problems perspective. Solutions include improvement efficiencies different systems, technological options education.
