摘要: Responses to two‐tone stimuli were recorded from auditory‐nerve fibers in anesthetized cats. One tone, the suppressor, was set at a frequency above characteristic and fixed intensity. A second tone an excitatory varied The suppressor when sufficient level, always reduced response by amount equivalent number of decibels, regardless tone’s Estimates suppression magnitude derived shifts rate‐intensity function obtained present relative functions for alone.
