摘要: Background Despite national and international guidelines recommendations, inappropriate prophylactic antibiotic use for clean wound surgery remains a common phenomenon in many Chinese hospitals, causing higher medical costs bacterial resistance. Objective To improve the prescribing behavior prophylaxis decrease abuse and/or misuse surgery. Setting The teaching hospital of university Southwest China. Methods A collaborative multidisciplinary program involving educational, technical, administrative strategies was undertaken. It characterized by monthly evaluation clinical pharmacists randomly selected cases surgery, as well group discussion attended correlative personnel, consisting staff, experts from Rational Drug Use Committee, surgeons. Main outcome measure overall incidence prophylaxis, appropriate antibiotics selection, initial dosage timing, proper drug combination duration were measured. Results 2009 to 2014, rate declined nearly 100% 20–30%. Improvements also observed timing first dose, prophylaxis. Broad-spectrum enzyme inhibitors have seldom been used after 2011. cost decreased. Conclusion program, together with discussion, is efficient improving rational This study indicates that can play pivotal role providing professional cases, education, intervention.
