摘要: With several advantages over the conventional mesophilic anaerobic digestion, such as better sludge quality and higher biogas production, thermophilic digestion is regarded a promising alternative for digestion. Primary activated sludges are complex materials, historically, analysis of kinetics has been largely on whole sludge, without individual components. This paper analyses relative pure substrates designed to target main stages under conditions. Hydrolysis rate cellulose was significantly influenced by temperature with hydrolysis coefficients – at 55 °C (0.7 ± 0.1 day−1), 60 (0.8 0.2 65 (1.1 day−1) 70 (1.2 38 (0.4 day−1). strongly follows Arrhenius relationship, an activation energy ( E A) 31 4 kJ mol−1, corresponding increase 1.5x each 10 increase. Glucose uptake rapid wide variety fermentation products detected conditions, while slower conditions acetate propionate being dominant products. Propionate acetogenesis acetate-utilizing methanogenesis were not temperatures. widely rate-limiting step in thus improvements rates measured during this study have potential significant overall apparent rates.
