摘要: HVAC systems are the major energy consumers in commercial buildings United States. Selection of setpoints impacts amount consumed by these systems. However, influence temperature on consumption and potential savings not yet fully identified. Through simulation this paper provides a systematic approach for quantifying different factors (i.e., construction category, climate, setpoint, deadband) building consumption. We implemented medium-sized DOE reference office three categories five climates using EnergyPlus software. N-way ANOVA analysis ranked as from most influential to least as: (1) (2) (3) deadband, (4) setpoint. Further analyses showed extending deadband 3 K 6 reduces 16.2%. Optimal annual varied across climates, could lead 6.63% average savings.
