Evaluation of the Effect of Fixed Anterior Biteplane Treatment on Temporomandibular Joint in Patients with Deep Bite.

摘要: Objective To investigate the effects of fixed anterior biteplane treatment on temporomandibular joint in deep bite patients. Methods The sample comprised 17 Class II patients with and decreased lower facial height. average patient age was 9.9±0.9 years. Transcranial radiographs were obtained from subjects before (T0) after (T1). Anterior space, posterior superior anteroposterior thickness condylar head, vertical height articular fossa, fossa slope measured to evaluate position mandibular condyles glenoid fossa. Results duration 8.5±2.1 months. Slope condyle, space showed no statistically significant difference between T0 T1 (p>0.05). Conclusion Fixed appliance did not change condyle relationship at time removal.
